1. Introduction
Welcome to SW MECHANICS. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your booking of mobile mechanic services, MOT tests, servicing, diagnostics and related automotive services. By accessing our website, submitting enquiries, requesting quotations or booking services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.
2. Definitions
- “We”, “Us”, “Our” means SW MECHANICS, a UK-based mobile automotive service provider.
- “You”, “Customer” means any individual or business using our website or services.
- “Services” means mobile mechanic work, repairs, MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics, emergency assistance and related automotive services we provide or arrange.
3. Use of the Website
You agree to use this website lawfully and only for permitted purposes. You must not misuse the site, transmit harmful or unlawful material, infringe third-party rights, or provide inaccurate, fraudulent or misleading information.
4. Quotations and Bookings
Quotations provided through our website or by phone are estimates based on the information you supply. A booking becomes binding once confirmed by us and any required deposit or payment arrangements are agreed. Final pricing may vary if additional faults or parts are identified during inspection, but we will seek your approval before carrying out extra work.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices are quoted in GBP unless stated otherwise. VAT applies where applicable. We reserve the right to amend quoted prices before final confirmation. Payment terms will be communicated at booking and must be received as agreed before or upon completion of work, unless alternative arrangements are confirmed in writing.
6. Service Delivery
SW MECHANICS provides mobile services at your specified location (home, workplace or roadside where safe and accessible). Appointment times are estimates; we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, parts availability or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for providing safe access to the vehicle and accurate location details.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel or reschedule appointments in accordance with our cancellation policy communicated at booking. Cancellations with insufficient notice may incur a fee. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed in line with consumer rights and any specific terms agreed for your booking. Parts specially ordered for your vehicle may be non-refundable once ordered.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, our liability for loss or damage arising from use of the website or our services is limited to the value of the service purchased. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses except where such limitation is prohibited by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Warranty
Where stated, parts and labour may be covered by a limited warranty. Warranty terms will be provided with your invoice or service documentation. Warranty claims must be reported promptly and may require inspection of the vehicle.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to SW MECHANICS. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content without prior written permission.
11. Data Protection
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using this website you acknowledge that processing as described in that policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights.
